As stated by the business director of the game, Antonio Palma, he discussed upcoming plans for users during his appearance at the GeckoCon 2024 Web3 gaming event last week.

My Neighbor Alice is being developed as more than just a game, with plans to create a universe that expands beyond the game itself. One of the goals is to make the game accessible on all devices. When asked during a panel discussion, Palma mentioned that he is excited to announce three upcoming features that the My Neighbor Alice team is working on, with a goal to release them all by 2025.
To aid in the growth and scalability of the game, Palma and his team are developing a new technology for My Neighbor Alice that will allow it to be played on various devices, such as mobile devices and tablets. While details about the technology are limited, it is speculated that it may involve cloud-based streaming due to the game's current requirements of a PC with Windows 7 OS or newer, an Intel i5-6400/Ryzen 5 1600 processor or higher, a minimum of 8GB of RAM, 6GB of storage space, and an Nvidia or AMD GPU.
Palma mentioned that they are one of the early adopters of Web3 technology in the gaming industry, which will enable their game to be accessible on any device, not just limited to Windows operating systems.
Another part of the plan involves simplifying the process of welcoming new players, as the current method requires too much work for those who play games casually.
Currently, Palma believes that there are seven necessary steps to access the game and begin playing, such as creating a wallet and signing up. However, they are working towards reducing this to just one click. Testing has shown that the technology is quite intricate, but they are aiming to have it ready by next year.
The updates are intended to make the game easier for players who are not familiar with cryptocurrency. My Neighbor Alice aims to attract players who are new to crypto by introducing them to blockchain technology in a fun and enjoyable way. The game gradually introduces players to concepts like NFTs, wallets, and cryptocurrency.
This game is like a virtual world that takes place in a metaverse, much like Minecraft or Animal Crossing. Players can build and explore virtual worlds, work together with others, and participate in activities like buying land, constructing, collecting insects, farming, fishing, and beekeeping.
Within the game, various aspects such as land, avatars, buildings, plants, trees, flowers, and animals are all depicted as NFTs. The game offers users tools to customize their virtual worlds and change the environment easily. Through the in-game marketplace, players can purchase and sell these items using ALICE tokens earned through completing tasks, working with others, and succeeding in challenges. After creating their virtual worlds, players have the option to generate revenue through different means.
Palma mentioned that significant changes are on the horizon for the in-game economy. He didn't provide many details, but mentioned that they are currently experimenting with a new economy system. He hinted at a potential announcement regarding this and the ALICE token in the upcoming year.
Finally, My Neighbor Alice seems interested in using its position as a popular Web3 game to collaborate with other industry players, potentially resulting in new partnerships and integrations in the near future.
Palma mentioned that they have successfully formed a significant partnership with a major intellectual property in the industry. They are currently in the process of creating the experience and have not made any official announcements yet.
