When asked during a panel discussion, Palma expressed his excitement about the three upcoming features that the My Neighbor Alice team is working on. These new features are expected to be released by 2025.
To help My Neighbor Alice grow and expand, Palma and his team are currently developing a new technology that will allow the game to be played on any device, including mobile phones and tablets. While Palma did not provide many details about the technology, it is likely to involve cloud-based streaming. This is necessary because the game currently requires a PC with Windows 7 or newer, an Intel i5-6400/Ryzen 5 1600 processor or better, at least 8GB of RAM, 6GB of storage space, and a Nvidia or AMD GPU.
Palma stated that they are likely one of the first Web3 games to try out this technology, which will enable their game to be accessible on any device instead of being limited to Windows.
Another part of the plan involves making the onboarding process more efficient, as it currently requires too much work for casual gamers.
Palma mentioned that currently, there are seven steps required to access the game and begin playing, such as creating a wallet and signing up. However, they are working towards reducing this to just one click. Testing has shown that the technology is intricate, but they are aiming to have it ready by next year.
The recent changes in the game aim to make it easier for players who are not familiar with cryptocurrencies to enjoy My Neighbor Alice. The game is meant to teach new players about blockchain technology in a fun and engaging way, gradually familiarizing them with concepts like NFTs, wallets, and cryptocurrency.

Players can purchase and sell these assets in the game's marketplace using ALICE tokens, which can be obtained by completing tasks, working with other players, and succeeding in competitions. After creating their virtual worlds, players have the opportunity to make money from them in different ways.
Palma mentioned that there are significant changes planned for the in-game economy. He didn't provide many details, but he mentioned that they are testing out a new economy system and there may be announcements about this and the ALICE token in the coming year.
Finally, My Neighbor Alice seems interested in using its position as a popular Web3 game to collaborate with other industry players, potentially resulting in new partnerships and integrations in the near future.
"We have established a significant collaboration with a major intellectual property in the industry," Palma mentioned. "We haven't made any official announcements yet as we are currently developing the experience. We always wait until we have a product before making any announcements. However, this partnership is in progress and will be revealed soon."
