Unlocking the Future of My Neighbor Alice: Antonio Palma Teases Major Updates and Partnerships on the Horizon

Antonio Palma from My Neighbor Alice teases the arrival of significant updates in the near future. My Neighbor Alice has become a widely loved metaverse game based on blockchain technology since its launch in early 2023, but the creators have even grander ambitions. Their goal is to expand MNA into a virtual universe that extends far beyond its current gameplay.

According to Antonio Palma, the game's business director, he discussed upcoming plans for users in the coming year at the recent GeckoCon 2024 Web3 gaming event.

During the CoinGecko event, it is possible that three new features of My Neighbor Alice and the ALICE token were revealed by a speaker. My Neighbor Alice is being developed as more than just a game, with plans to expand into a universe beyond the initial gameplay. One of the goals is to ensure the game is accessible on all types of devices.

During a panel discussion, Palma was asked to share information about upcoming projects from the My Neighbor Alice team. He mentioned that there are three new products in development, which are expected to be released by 2025.

To help My Neighbor Alice expand and reach more players, Palma and his team are developing new technology that will allow the game to be played on any type of device, such as mobile phones and tablets. Although Palma did not provide specifics about the technology, it is likely to involve cloud-based streaming since the game currently requires a PC with certain specifications, including Windows 7 or newer, an Intel i5-6400/Ryzen 5 1600 processor or better, at least 8GB of RAM, 6GB of storage space, and an Nvidia or AMD GPU.

Palma mentioned that their game is one of the first Web3 games to try out this technology, which will enable them to make their game accessible on any device, instead of being limited to Windows.

Another part of the plan involves simplifying the process of welcoming new players, as the current method requires too much time and energy for those who only play games occasionally.

Currently, Palma believes that users need to go through seven steps to access the game, such as creating a wallet and signing up. However, they are working towards reducing this to just one click. Testing is ongoing for this advanced technology, and they are aiming to have it ready by next year.

These improvements are aimed at making the game easier for players who are not familiar with cryptocurrency. My Neighbor Alice aims to attract these non-crypto-native players. The game is created to introduce newcomers to the blockchain world in a fun and enjoyable way, gradually familiarizing them with concepts like NFTs, wallets, and cryptocurrency.

The game is like a virtual world that is based on the metaverse, similar to popular games like Minecraft or Animal Crossing. Players have the ability to create and explore virtual worlds, work together with others, and engage in activities such as purchasing land, constructing buildings, collecting insects, farming, fishing, and beekeeping.

Within the game, players have ownership of various digital assets such as land, avatars, buildings, plants, trees, flowers, and animals through NFTs. The game offers user-friendly tools for players to customize their virtual worlds and alter the terrain. Players can trade these assets in the in-game marketplace using ALICE tokens earned from completing tasks, working with others, and winning contests. After creating their virtual worlds, players have the opportunity to generate income through different methods.

Palma mentioned that there will be significant changes to the in-game economy. He didn't provide much detail, only mentioning that they are experimenting with a new economy system. There may be an announcement about this and the ALICE token in the coming year.

Finally, My Neighbor Alice is interested in using its position as a popular Web3 game to collaborate with other industry players, potentially leading to new integrations in the near future.

"We have established a significant partnership with a major intellectual property in the industry," stated Palma. "We have not made any official announcements yet as we are still developing the project. We prefer to wait until we have a tangible product before making any public declarations. However, this collaboration is currently in progress and will be revealed soon."
