Unlocking GameFest Rewards: A Guide to Overtake’s Play-to-Earn Launchpools and $OVT Earnings

Overtake, a platform for publishing Web3 games, has recently launched GameFest, its largest event. This campaign allows players to earn a portion of the $OVT token supply by participating in tasks, playing games, and joining special launchpools.

This post explores GameFest in depth, covering the prizes, launchpools, gameplay, and what makes Overtake unique in the world of Web3 gaming.

GameFest is Overtake's largest airdrop campaign to date, offering 85 million $OVT tokens as rewards. These rewards are divided among four different launchpools.

During GameFest, players have the opportunity to earn Achievement Points (AP) by finishing tasks and engaging in games, like exchanging $GG tokens for AP. The total AP collected will impact a player's position on worldwide and seasonal leaderboards, with higher rankings resulting in greater $OVT rewards.

To get started with GameFest, you need to first obtain your GameFest Proof of Participation (POP) badge. This badge shows that you joined the campaign early and also verifies your account for receiving airdrops. It's a way to prevent bots from interfering with the event.

After obtaining your POP badge, you can access the platform by logging in with an IMX wallet or a compatible wallet. From there, you can begin to work on tasks and receive rewards.

While playing, you can accumulate AP by completing different actions within the game, such as converting in-game tokens like $GG. The more AP you earn, the higher you will climb on the leaderboard, with top players receiving rewards during the Token Generation Event (TGE). Additionally, there are referral bonuses available on the platform, allowing you to earn even more AP by inviting friends to join and help grow the community.

Golden Guardians is introducing a new game called GG Survivor as part of GameFest, starting on November 14th. This game is a PVE survival mini-game that can only be played on Telegram. In GG Survivor, players must survive enemy waves to earn points, which can then be exchanged for Achievement Points (AP) to win rewards on the leaderboard.

The GG Launchpool features two separate leaderboards:

This system with two leaderboards motivates players to stay engaged and strive to earn rewards by participating competitively and consistently. It offers players multiple opportunities to climb up the rankings.

Two more launchpools for the games Somnis and The Red One (TRO) will be featured after Golden Guardians at GameFest.

The Overtake platform offers game developers a decentralized way to release their games and connect with a wide audience of gamers. One of the games available on the platform is Somnis: Rumble Rush, a mobile strategy game that quickly gained popularity with over 30,000 sign-ups within the first 3 weeks and now has more than 10,000 active players every day. The game features deck-building with NFTs and various modes to suit different types of players.

Overtake's Proof of Participation (POP) system is essential to the platform, as it rewards players with Soulbound Tokens (SBTs) that are linked to their wallet and serve as a record of their accomplishments. As of October 2024, more than 800,000 POPs have been created.

Additionally, the platform offers NFT features that allow users to exchange and improve their in-game items. The platform has attracted more than 205,000 individuals who own unique NFTs.

In summary, GameFest is seen as a crucial opportunity for Overtake's expansion. The event serves as a significant achievement for Overtake, as it offers a mix of airdrop rewards and various gameplay experiences for Web3 users and traditional gamers. GameFest includes NFTs, Soulbound Tokens, and rewards for referrals to help create a dynamic and engaging ecosystem.

Throughout the event, new games will be released, along with additional features and rewards. GameFest serves as an opportunity to experience the Overtake platform and learn about decentralized gaming, whether you enjoy playing Golden Guardians, strategizing in Somnis, or competing in TRO.
