Understanding Overtake's Airdrop Event: GameFest Launchpools and Ways to Make $OVT
Overtake, a platform for publishing Web3 games, has recently launched its largest event called GameFest. This campaign involves multiple stages where players can earn a portion of the $OVT token supply by participating in tasks, playing games, and joining special launchpools.
In this article, we will discuss the specifics of GameFest, such as the prizes, launch pools, gameplay, and what makes Overtake unique in the world of Web3 gaming.
GameFest Airdrop Campaign is the largest airdrop campaign by Overtake, offering 85 million $OVT tokens. The rewards are divided into four launchpools.
During GameFest, players have the opportunity to gain Achievement Points (AP) by finishing tasks and participating in games, like exchanging $GG tokens for AP. The total AP collected will determine a player's position on both the global and seasonal leaderboards, with higher rankings resulting in more $OVT rewards.
To join GameFest, the first thing you need to do is obtain your GameFest Proof of Participation (POP) badge. This badge shows that you were one of the first participants in the campaign and verifies your account for receiving airdrops. Having this badge also helps prevent bots from interfering.
After receiving your POP badge, you can sign in using an IMX wallet or a compatible wallet to begin participating in platform activities and receiving rewards.
By participating in the game, you can earn AP by completing different tasks within the game, such as converting in-game tokens like $GG. The more AP you earn, the higher you will rank on the leaderboard, and top players will receive rewards during the Token Generation Event (TGE). Additionally, there are referral bonuses available where you can earn extra AP by inviting friends to join the community and help it grow.
Golden Guardians (GG) Survivor is a new game introduced as part of GameFest, set to launch on November 14. This PVE survival game is only available on Telegram. In GG Survivor, players must survive through various enemy waves to earn points, which can then be exchanged for Achievement Points (AP) to receive rewards on the leaderboard.
There are two leaderboards in the GG Launchpool.
The system of having two leaderboards promotes competition and encourages players to stay engaged in the game. It also provides players with more opportunities to win rewards and improve their rankings.
GameFest will be introducing two new launchpools for Somnis and The Red One (TRO) following the success of the Golden Guardians launchpool.
The Overtake Ecosystem provides a decentralized platform for game developers to effortlessly release their games and connect with a vast community of gamers. One of the games available on the platform is Somnis: Rumble Rush, a real-time strategy game for mobile devices. Within the first three weeks of its release, the game garnered over 30,000 registrations and currently boasts over 10,000 active users every day. Somnis: Rumble Rush features deck-building mechanics with NFTs and offers both PVE and PVP modes to appeal to a diverse player base.
The Proof of Participation (POP) system by Overtake is the foundation of the platform, providing players with Soulbound Tokens (SBTs) that are linked to their wallet and serve as a proof of their accomplishments. By October 2024, more than 800,000 POPs have been created.
Additionally, the platform offers NFT features that allow users to exchange and enhance in-game items, and it boasts a community of more than 205,000 distinct NFT owners.
In summary, GameFest is seen as the starting point for Overtake's expansion. GameFest is an important event for Overtake, as it offers a mix of airdrop rewards and different types of gameplay for both Web3 users and traditional gamers. The event includes NFTs, Soulbound Tokens, and referral bonuses to create a dynamic and interactive community.
Throughout the event, new games will be released, along with additional features and rewards. GameFest serves as an opportunity to experience the Overtake platform and learn about decentralized gaming while playing Golden Guardians, strategizing in Somnis, or competing in TRO.
