Unlocking GameFest: A Deep Dive into Overtake’s Airdrop Campaign and Launchpools for $OVT Earnings

The Overtake platform, which focuses on Web3 game publishing, has recently launched a major event called GameFest. This event involves multiple phases where players can earn a portion of the $OVT token supply by participating in tasks, playing games, and joining exclusive launchpools.

This article will explore GameFest, discussing the prizes, launchpools, gameplay, and what makes Overtake unique in the Web3 gaming industry.

GameFest is Overtake's largest airdrop campaign to date, offering 85 million $OVT tokens to participants. The rewards are divided among four different launchpools.

During GameFest, participants have the opportunity to earn Achievement Points (AP) by completing various tasks and engaging in game activities, such as exchanging $GG tokens for AP. The total AP collected by a player will determine their position on both the worldwide and seasonal leaderboards, with higher rankings resulting in greater $OVT rewards.

To participate in GameFest, start by obtaining your GameFest Proof of Participation (POP) badge. This badge shows that you were an early participant in the campaign and verifies your account for the airdrop. Having the badge also reduces the chances of bot interference.

After receiving your POP badge, you can access the platform by logging in with an IMX wallet or another wallet that is compatible. From there, you can begin to engage in platform tasks and earn rewards.

While playing, you can earn AP by completing tasks within the game, such as converting in-game tokens like $GG. The AP you earn will help you climb the leaderboard, and those who perform the best will receive rewards during the Token Generation Event (TGE). Additionally, there are referral bonuses available where you can earn extra AP by inviting friends to join and help grow the community.

Golden Guardians is introducing a new game called GG Survivor as part of GameFest. This game, launching on November 14, is a PVE survival mini-game that can only be played on Telegram. In GG Survivor, players must survive waves of enemies to earn points, which can then be exchanged for Achievement Points (AP) to receive rewards on the leaderboard.

The GG Launchpool features two separate leaderboards.

This system with two leaderboards motivates players to stay competitive and engaged, providing multiple opportunities to earn rewards and move up in the rankings.

Two new launchpools will be featured at GameFest following the Golden Guardians pool. These launchpools will be for the games Somnis and The Red One (TRO).

The Overtake Ecosystem is a decentralized platform that helps game developers launch their games effortlessly and connect with a broad community of gamers. One example of a game on the platform is Somnis: Rumble Rush, a mobile real-time strategy game that garnered over 30,000 sign-ups within the initial 3 weeks and now has more than 10,000 active players every day. This game includes deck-building using NFTs and offers both PVE and PVP modes to appeal to various types of players.

The Proof of Participation (POP) system by Overtake is essential to the platform, providing players with Soulbound Tokens (SBTs) that are linked to their wallet and serve as a log of their accomplishments. By October 2024, more than 800,000 POPs have been created.

Additionally, the platform includes NFT features that allow users to exchange and improve in-game items, with a community of over 205,000 distinct NFT owners.

In summary, GameFest plays a crucial role in Overtake's expansion. It serves as a significant achievement for the company, bringing together airdrop rewards and different types of gameplay for both Web3 users and traditional gamers. The event offers NFTs, Soulbound Tokens, and referral bonuses to create a dynamic ecosystem for participants.

Throughout the event, new games will be released, along with additional features and rewards. GameFest serves as an introduction to the Overtake platform and showcases how decentralized gaming operates, whether you enjoy playing Golden Guardians, strategizing in Somnis, or competing in TRO.
